What i meant to write about yesterday

Again related to the Labour Party Conference and the 82 year old pensioner getting evicted, obviously many other people have their thoughts on this and it was a letter in the independent i found interesting.

This letter suggests that New Labour still have a way to go to match their American cousins in the Republican party. Mr Tom Wiseman from the state of Maryland had insight to give on how at George Bush meetings they were just that little bit more fussy about who they let near. For one Bush's meetings and rallies are invitation only. Good enough surely to weed out undesirables? Can't be to careful though, better sniff about the car park for and see if we can't spot anything. Whats this a bumper sticker, don't like the look of that particular bumper sticker, lets go kick out the couple whose car this is.

There is apparantly also a standard procedure for this sort of thing. A staffer or Secret Service member will have the local police arrest the person. Later a judge will free them as it's technically legal to show dissent within the USA and the Secret Service will deny all knowledge of it and it's all kept well away from Geaorge who doesn't have to worry about it.

Is this true, i don't really know, but it sounds quite plausible.

Good Post mate.
Check out this link, it tells about Bush speaking at a student graduation and the threats and heavy-handedness used to crush free speech.
