Getting better all the time...

....a win away from home over the mighty Lithuania. Okay not quite world beaters but a damn tricky fixture and one we really needed to win to get us in the mix for qualifying for the Euro championships. After two games 5 points clear of the World Cup winners, you can't grumble. A long ahrd slog to go before we can really get excited but it looks like we're gonna make a decent attempt at it.

3rd place would still be a very respectable finish in this group, but with Italy off to a sticky start losing in France and only drawing at home to Lithuania we're ahead of the game so far. The next two games are going to be brutal though, France at home and awya to the Ukraine. Really tough games, if we can grind a two draws or a win and a loss that would be exceptional. Ideally a sneaky and probably undeserved backs to the wall 1-0 in Ukraine be best result. Hoepfully France will be rampant and we can be best of the rest and get that second qualifying spot.

Realisticaly I'd right now take a plucky loss to france and point off the Ukraine. Anything above that and we'd be doing very well.
